ABEYUKA is an artist who graduated from Tokyo University of the Arts in 2009 and completed her master’s degree in 2011. She held a solo exhibition at TWS-Emerging (now TOKAS) in 2011 and was selected as a scholarship artist under the Program of Overseas Study for Upcoming Artists by the Agency for Cultural Affairs, which took her to New York in 2015. In 2017, she received the Special Award at the Taro Okamoto Contemporary Art Award. Her colorful and vibrant style is infused with deep philosophical meaning.

ABEYUKA’s work spans a variety of media, including large-scale oil paintings, installations, and three-dimensional sculptures. She currently works primarily in Tokyo, New York, and Taiwan. In October, she will hold her 9th solo exhibition at B-gallery in Ikebukuro, and in 2025, she will be designing a guest room at the Shiodome Park Hotel Tokyo.
