Escif is one of the most renowned urban artists, often referred to as the “Spanish Banksy” for his thought-provoking murals. Born in Valencia in the early 80s, he studied Fine Arts with a specialization in Public Art at the Polytechnic University of Valencia. After starting as a graffiti writer in the mid-90s, he transitioned to post-graffiti, first with his iconic eye motifs across Valencia and later with narrative murals featuring a minimalist aesthetic. His work carries strong social and political commentary, using sharp humor to address issues like environmental concerns, social injustices, and threats to freedom.
