Mural Artist ミズグチグッチ / Guchi

About “にぎやかな壁 Lively Wall”
This mural for BnA_WALL was created with the help of BnA’s PlayArt Team and Pentel. Instead typical water-
based paints for mural work, we used “School Gouache,” an acrylic paint specifically developed for children
and is harmless to the body. This allowed us to host a workshop for kids to experience the joy of working on
a mural painting. I interpreted and transformed drawings created by children during the workshop and
painted 5 larger creatures. (Credit: Yunosuke, Souma, Haruto, Takumi, and Shuuta) I’m really looking forward
to seeing what they think when they revisit the mural later. It’s the experience that I find truly exciting.

About ミズグチグッチ / Guchi
Based in Osaka, I’m known as a “modern craftsman”, who dabbles in creating objects, illustrations, murals,
and silhouette portraits, I’ve heard some people call me a “walking art class”.
As an extension to my artwork, I organize many events that add “fun” to everyday life, such as a crafts
workshop “Pasting and Cutting Show” and “Ofuro-lympics (Ofuro is a public bath)” I also serve as the art
director for exhibitions for “The Fictional Newspaper,” and percussionist and stage designer for bands like
“Aka Inu,” “Minimamus,” and “Microhm.” On weekdays, I work as a grounds caretaker at an elementary
school.
