Our workshops are designed to connect guests with these traditions in an authentic and meaningful way — not as tourists, but as participants. Whether you're joining as an individual or bringing a group, we tailor each session to create a meaningful experience for everyone.

We offer hands-on workshops focused on two iconic traditional arts:

Calligraphy (Shodō)

Experience the discipline and beauty of Japanese calligraphy. Guided by Master Sakoh, a professional calligrapher with over 40 years of experience, participants will learn the fundamentals of brush technique, form, and expression. Each session also explores the cultural and philosophical depth behind the practice — because shodō is as much about presence as it is about brushwork.

Kintsugi

Led by Virginie, who trained under Japanese kintsugi masters, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn the craft through its traditional techniques. Today, she is dedicated to preserving and advocating for these methods, which are increasingly being replaced by faster, purely aesthetic alternatives. Participants will be introduced not only to the repair process using lacquer and gold, but also to the philosophy of kintsugi — where breakage and repair become part of an object's history rather than something to hide. All materials used are traditional, high-quality Japanese products, sourced locally.
