When the door is opened, the floor is covered in blue glazed tiles like an ocean.
These tiles are the ground and walls of Tokyo that the artist photographed late at night while holding the light of a 3D scanner over them. You may even find paw prints of cats that have stepped on cement.
LIXIL, with whom we collaborated technically, has as its starting point the production of architectural tiles for the former Imperial Hotel designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, and this time the tiles were produced by 3D cutting clay based on scanning data.
