The fiction of walls and spaces that are uncovered
Not recommended for guests with small children.
There is always a “”wall”” in every room.
Conversely, building a “”wall”” creates a space.
And the decoration of the walls has a great influence on the quality and impression of the space.
When the artist realized this when planning the art room, he saw the room as a fiction created by the walls.
This room is made up of various types of walls brought in from different places and eras, arranged randomly like a puzzle.
The curvilinear trace that runs across the top of the wall scrapes off the surface of the wall like an insect bite, revealing the veneer material behind it.
This insanely tailored space exposes itself as a fiction, yet its unexpectedness and humor are poignantly charming. It can be said that the artist’s repeated use of insect-eating drawings has also given the work a new identity.
