“Dam” a spatial art piece by Mariko Mugumoto, who’s body of work is characterised by minimalist three-dimensional sculptures and artificial landscapes.

Inorganic, uniform texture, and simplified colors found in her works are both surreal and pop.
Her work is often mysteriously cozy, perhaps due to its nostalgic aesthetics linking to our memories of the low-polygonal world of early video games.

The bright blue Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) waterfall flows down from the ceiling, expressed in straight lines and perfect arcs. All of the furnishings, including tables, clocks, and lights, were also created by the artist as original works for this space.

What kind of dream will you dream immersed in this imagined landscape?
